That maturity is worth noting when it comes to painting. Established gardens mean overhanging planting against render, root growth near boundary walls, and a lot more masking than a bare new-build plot needs.

Property types here
Mainly detached and semi-detached villas on individual plots, most of them well established. Traditional Spanish features are common — window grilles, wrought-iron gates, tiled terraces and pergolas — all of which need painting properly rather than being worked around.
Mature planting and shaded walls
Where planting has grown up against a wall, or a terrace is permanently shaded, you tend to get green and black algae staining on the render. It's cosmetic rather than structural, but painting over it without treating it is pointless — it comes straight back through within a season.
Those areas get washed down and treated first. It adds a little time to the preparation and it's the difference between a wall that stays clean and one that's marked again by the following autumn.

FAQs
We've got algae on the north wall every year. Can that be stopped?
It can be greatly reduced. The wall gets cleaned and treated before painting, and a coating with better resistance can be specified for that elevation. Where planting is the cause, cutting it back off the wall helps more than any paint will.
Our gates are wrought iron and quite ornate. Is that a problem?
No, it just takes longer — ornate ironwork is all preparation, and it's done by hand.
Can you paint around established planting without damaging it?
Yes. Planting gets sheeted and tied back where needed, and put back as it was.
